How can I get involved?
There are many ways to get involved. Please fill out the volunteer application to get started.
Do I get a tax write-off?
Yes, we are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is 88-0868090
Can I volunteer from home?
Yes, we are always looking for people to make phone calls and help remotely.
I’m a student, could I get community service hours?
Yes, we are happy to have one of our executives sign off on volunteer hours.
Could my children help volunteer as well?
Yes, there are specific opportunities to volunteer with children.
Where do the funds go?
Maman is a nonprofit and predominantly based completely on voluntary work. Maman has no executive salaries and we rely on volunteer leadership to manage each initiative. As a volunteer based lean nonprofit, we have minimal administrative costs. All monetary donations go directly to making these initiatives possible.
How could I donate?
We offer Zelle, Paypal, Venmo or mailing a check. If you’d like to specify which project you’d specifically like to donate to, please include it in the memo.
What level of privacy could I expect as a recipient of aid from Maman?
Individuals and families have complete privacy when receiving aid from Maman. You will be working directly with an individual volunteer and only that person will have access to your information, unless otherwise specified.
